Thank you for helping make our
Lucky Pets Adopt-a-thon 2007
An Amazing Success!

The partners of Maddie’s Pet Rescue Project of Alachua County are thrilled to announce that the Lucky Pets Adopt-a-thon 2007, held behind the Oaks Mall March 24th & 25th, was a huge success! Over the course of the weekend, we were able to find wonderful forever homes for 133 pets! This success would not have been possible without the help of all of our amazing volunteers. The Maddie’s partners would like to thank everyone who came out and contributed to the success of this event.

In addition to recognizing the many wonderful individuals who came out to volunteer their time and energy to help the homeless animals in Alachua County, the Maddie’s partners would like to thank several student organizations from the University of Florida for lending their support: the ladies and gentleman of the Florida Cicerones and the ladies and gentlemen of Alpha Epsilon Delta. Again, thank you to all of our wonderful volunteers! We could not achieve these outstanding results without your help!

The Maddie’s partners would also like to thank Coleen Cox, from Merial- the maker of Heartgard and Frontline, who supplied all of our adopted animals with starter bags filled to the brim with tons of goodies!

If you are interested in volunteering for the next adopt-a-thon, please download and submit a volunteer application. Applications can be found under the “Volunteers” link. The adopt-a-thons are sponsored by Maddie’s Pet Rescue Project of Alachua County and its six partners; Alachua County Humane Society (Lead Agency), Alachua County Animal Services, Puppy Hill Farms Pet Rescue, Helping Hands Pet Rescue, Haile’s Angels Pet Rescue, and Gainesville Pet Rescue.

If you are interested in becoming a corporate sponsor for future adopt-a-thons, please contact Chase Wiley at the Alachua County Humane Society at (352) 373-5855 x 15.

We would like to thank the Oaks Mall for generously providing the space for our adopt-a-thons free of charge.
